Cnoc Eoghainn has been simply refurbished while retaining its quirky cottage charm and retro furnishings. There is a lovely and welcoming sitting room with comfy seating and an open fire – perfect for snuggling under a blanket on a cold night, or any night for that matter! There is also a TV with Freeview, a DVD player and a hi-fi. The bookcase contains a wide range of maps, walking/cycle information & books on local and natural history, novels and board games.
The dining kitchen has been newly refurbished, and has been laid out so that everything is to hand, with all appliances you expect in a modern kitchen, including a dishwasher, as well as retaining some of the old kitchen fitments. From the kitchen sink there are magnificent views of Schiehallion, and if you are lucky, red squirrels, woodpeckers and many other wild birds.
The bedrooms are simply furnished, with the double bedroom located in the south facing room to the rear; linen is provided except for towels, which are available separately. The vintage style bathroom has a bath with electric shower.
The large garden faces south with lovely views over fields and mountains, the garden itself has cottage style planting with fruit bushes and herbs you can help yourself to. The Rowan trees are are laden with berries in the autumn, and regularly attract flocks of Fieldfares and Waxwings, who will strip all the trees of those berries in a matter of hours!
